Eighth Grade Ceremony Spotlights Student Achievements

 Eighth grader on stage for graduationIn a momentous eighth-grade moving-up ceremony, family and faculty applauded students as teachers read aloud the students' proudest accomplishments from the past year. From community service to sports and academic excellence, the students' achievements were as varied as impressive. These included being recognized as Student of the Month, making the honor roll, joining new clubs, leading teams as captain, participating in the school play, earning recommendations for high school honor classes, competing on varsity teams, and fostering meaningful friendships. As teachers announced each achievement, the auditorium resounded with cheers and applause.The ceremony was filled with excitement, nostalgia, and bittersweetness as the graduating class reflected on their remarkable journey and looked ahead to their high school years.

 Eighth graders celebrate graduation in hallway"The one constant that will never change is that the soft skills that you have learned as early as kindergarten at PQ, those of grit, perseverance, empathy, compassion, and kindness," said Principal Vince DiGrandi. "They will continue to play an essential part of success as you move towards graduation."
