The event brought together young minds from across the globe to collaborate and tackle some of the world's most pressing issues, including the refugee crisis, managing space debris, and ensuring water and sanitation in developing nations. The conference wasn't all serious business; some committees embraced the fantastical and combined creative and critical thinking.

“It’s funny and chaotic and exciting when a new crisis is presented and everything can change quickly. But you have to be calm and focused to write and pass directives in order to solve the issue,” said sophomore Kyle. “You have to be adaptable to every change.”

During the conference, Kyle tackled problems that the world may face in 2124. Josh, a senior, decided how best to handle the secrets within Area 51. When not in committee, students explored the Yale libraries and campus and attended lectures by esteemed Yale professors.
