AP Spanish Language and Culture
The goal of the AP Spanish Course is to be the equivalent of a third-year college course in advanced Spanish composition and conversation. Emphasizing the use of Spanish for active communication, it encompasses aural/oral skills, reading comprehension, grammar and composition. College credit may be obtained by successful completion of the Advanced Placement Examination sponsored by The College Board. The course seeks to develop language skills that are useful in themselves and that can be applied to a wide variety of activities and disciplines. Finally, extensive training in the organization and writing of compositions, particularly DBQs, will be an integral part of this course. Students will be given access to the new online AP classroom resources. All students are expected to take the AP exam in May. The AP exam fee must be assumed by the student. Please refer to the AP Exam Fee Schedule for more information.
