Science 7 is an introduction to the living environment. Topics include cell theory,
scientific method, ecology, evolution, genetics, classification of life, human organ
systems, nutrition, and biological survival.
The course involves many opportunities for active learning including demonstration and
hands-on lab authentic experiences.Some lab experiences are ecological explorations,
bacteria study, gathering and analyzing data in many biological areas. Some projects
are interdisciplinary with math, English, social studies, and foreign language. Students
learn to objectively observe and analyze the living environment.
