Advanced Placement Chemistry 11, 12
Recommendation: Successful completion of Honors Chemistry AP Admission Criteria. Grade of 85 or better in Algebra.
This course is the equivalent of a college biology course at the introductory level. Topics covered include those of the Regents course, but in greater depth and with greater emphasis on biochemistry, energy dynamics, genetics, animal behavior, homeostasis in organisms, population ecology and statistics. All students must have successfully completed Regents/Honors Biology and Regents/Honors Chemistry in order to take this class. All students are expected to take the AP exam in May.
